The oldest cat I'm sitting is now very elderly, just skin and bones, but I think I am making a little headway in putting some weight back on her frame with regular feeding and doses of her thyroid meds and steroids. The younger cat climbs into the basket and squishes up with her and purrs very vigorously and I'm sure that's a healing practice. I've turned on the heating panel near them so they are cozy all night.
