Camp Damascus by Chuck Tingle is a fun read. Very heavy subject matter (Christian gay conversion camps in the US) is dealt with in a light, liberating fashion with a generous dose of the supernatural thrown in.

Some parts read as a manifesto for gay kids dealing with growing up in an oppressive environment. Hopefully this book reaches people in that situation.

I would totally watch a Buffy-like Netflix adaptation of this with a cool Black Metal soundtrack.
