I know this cycle well , which is why I quit as an art major three semesters in,, I literally never felt like I ever was finished with a piece unless it was a study of some sort ,, nothing I created personally felt like I was done and it sure wasn’t exactly what I thought it might be when I started, I ended up working with databases and designing workflows ,, I love it , but I’m exactly the same as I was back then,, I’m never done with a system because it will always be improved upon and needs will change so you get to constantly create something new even though what you made is working.. in the end, after several decades i am creating art again and now I’m actually making what I am imagining and I know when I am finished.
