An off leash dog ran into my actual apartment today and attacked Ellie. She is shaken up and has a small wound on her shoulder. Her collar is ruined. But me and the staff think it saved her life. The dog latched onto Ellie's throat for MINUTES before someone finally got it off, but Ellie's collar protected her neck. The dog used to be a fighting dog and has killed multiple dogs. Owner usually has it off leash and never muzzled. Waiting to hear back from animal control so I can report the attack.
