It's somewhat interesting that progressives want to recreate medieval towns (no cars, everything can be reached with a short walk), calling them "smart cities" or "15-minute cities", when on the other hand there are actual medieval towns in Italy selling houses for a dollar and still struggling with population decline.
It seems as if the concept is nice to look at and to experience for a short holiday, but terrible for everyday life.
