I always find $/W to be a weird unit, since it seems to be done as "lifetime cost" divided by "energy per second". What makes much more sense to my brain is $/J, which is $/W*(operational-lifetime).
Residential setups usually use lithium batteries too, right? Which we don't know how to recycle well, and have a verrry high replacement cost.
