I wonder if the problem I had with Void Linux install had to do with spreading everything across multiple drives. I have a separate drive entirely for /home, with swap, /, and /boot/efi on a different drive. Every problem I've had installing Void in the past has to do with partitioning or Void creating the partitions during install (e.g., unable to create the swap partition, unable to install GRUB2).
