My spicy opinion for the day is that server-side decorations look stupid and out of place. If having window controls doesn't fit into the UI of your application, you're better off not having them. I hate the wasted space a titlebar adds just to accommodate buttons that I don't really need.

So, like, I'm in the camp where server-side decorations look stupid but client-side decorations are too cumbersome to expect every developer to implement. Just don't have decorations if you don't need em.
