Jessie Gender made the point that (other than "you bitch") the throwbacks we're either simply stylistic or actually moved the story forward, rather than being distracting nostalgia bait. I found them pretty cringe and overdone but it's still an enjoyable film. Solidly OK, which is what I expected.
