I’m starting to come down off the moor now and there’s a beautiful, if slightly hazy, view over the edge of the moor, with its wooded valleys and little hamlets, and the rolling south Devon countryside beyond. It makes me think of a soft patchwork quilt in all shades of green. Just over the horizon is the sea.
