The answer is "yes" regardless of labels. Everything after that is intentional ignorance of societal unfairness and injustice.
But people don't differentiate, and conflate the latter with the former, and that's what opens them up to having their poorly thought out attitudes exploited and coopted, turning them into the very kind of people they think they're working against. "See, I'm not a racist!"
