Your take on zaps only + no like button is great, even 1 sat zaps how the other guy mentioned could be a solid idea.
I do however also appreciate Amethysts 'like' button, I think they're onto something. It acts as an acknowledgement button imo with the ability to add different emojis, I think the combo of that + zaps is pretty good, and stands out more than traditional likes- the reaction indicates the readers perception of what the creator posted, which adds more of a personal experience, they can then zap if they really appreciate the content of the post.
My only concern about zaps only would be creating a P2W dynamic. Bringing people to the platform solely to earn. Potential of all attention going towards the deepest wallets and essentially stunting smaller creators/contributors.
I'm going to make a bold statement and assume the most zaps on this platform already go towards the BTC OGs, and large following accounts. They deserve it, that's why they're in their position to begin with. They probably dish out the most as well, but the problem is that not all people with authority are these guys, not all people with authority believe in the culture. Tons are in it for personal gain.
But then again, in a free & open platform- similar to markets, quality always shines through.
