The saddest part about the current state of our country is that it didn’t used to be this way.
Waiters used to refill your glass, hostesses greeted you with a smile, dressing rooms used to be clean and shopping malls weren’t so dirty. Airlines actually got you where you needed to go. Uber drivers could communicate with you in English. Buildings weren’t covered in graffiti, drug addicts didn’t openly shoot up in the streets.
These may seem like small unimportant things, but they’re a microcosm of a greater issue.
Streets are filthy because no one cares enough to keep them clean. Workers lack basic communication skills & pride in their jobs and that’s just the expectation now. We’ve all been conditioned to accept this degraded society as our “new normal” and that’s why it only continues to get worse.
We’re forced to accept the ugly as beautiful and labeled a “Karen” if we ask someone to do their job properly. We’re told to applaud the subpar and uplift the mediocre in our society.
I’m tired of it.
The United States is an empire reaching its final stages of decline.
