Have you ever tried using a pressure cooker? Slightly crack the eggs on the pointy end and then cook for 6 minutes. When 6 minutes is up quick release the pressure. Once pressure is released run eggs under cool water and then add ice. If they aren't peeled already they are really easy to peel. My thought is that the pressure gets under the egg membrane and then when quick released it expands the membrane off the egg. Sometimes eggs are whole but the shells are removed when the pressure cooker top is removed. My kids can peel easily even fresh eggs. Lots of times the shells come off in one or two pieces.
