People find comfort in traditions, but, holy Hannah, I wish folk could step back & redefine traditions when warranted. Perpetuating things that no long hold value or are harmful just because of tradition is not honourable. If you have a toxic family, why waste a long weekend? Invent a new Thanksgiving tradition. Coronation? People are struggling to pay for food and a self-important ass is going to ride in a golden chariot to have a crown put on his head, expecting folk to swear loyalty?
