I just wrapped up warmly, grabbed a hot cuppa, went out and counted birds for the New Zealand Garden Bird Survey. This is a great #CitizenScience project if you have a spare hour from now to 2 July! You can do it in a garden, school or park. I haven’t kept my past tallies, but I’m sure my count was down this year 😢 I guess it’s no coincidence that there are also fewer trees in this neighbourhood now. I need to figure out what to plant that birds like in winter 🤔 #birds
