i have actually had a lot of contact with russians, from an orphan in australia back in 2006 to a refugee who had severe hip injuries from police violence in moscow (likely due to his mother being ukrainian) and also while in prison in bulgaria i met several russians, and i have lived in the balkans for much of the last 12 years

i wouldn't even consider relocating anywhere much west of Novosibirsk anyway, siberia has always been the part of the modern political region that i'm most interested in

in some ways better, in some ways worse, but for me russia is just as much of a problem as usa, canada, australia and the uk

none of those places i'm that keen on living either
