I mean, a container is just virtualization of the app instead of at the OS layer. If you can spin up a container vs a VM, you're not saving yourself a huge amount of resources outside of what the OS uses (which is pretty small on the Linux side). Granted, containerization makes spinning new apps up faster across multiple systems, but I'm not sure what you really gain at this scale.

Not saying not to learn it, always expand your knowledge base. But you can run multiple apps on the same VM like you can run multiple containers on the same host system as well. Not sure why you'd run more VMs vs containers? (Speaking from a point of ignorance on how your environment is set up or what your host/provider offers)
