It's not about being retard. It's about nice defaults to have a good experience. This is the same filter that gets rid of most of the airdrop and token scammers on Nostr. Absolutely no one likes to see that when they open the app. That's why the app does do well. Nice defaults so that no one needs to worry setting things up.
