Ironic how it's always Red, particularly Southern, states that are the first to destroy their already paltry public health services. It's as if it were a racist thing, and they think it will empower white men.
Sadly for them, viral diseases know nothing of politics or culture wars. They only know more or less fertile populations within which to grow, prosper, and mutate.
