Happy Sunday Nostr friends!!!!
This is how I get into bitcoin and nostr:
I met jurjendevries (npub1l77…swft) in 2021. I heard about him about bitcoin for the first time. Then he asked me to save in bitcoin. I realized that bitcoin is decentralized and it has no impact from the high inflation which I faced in that time in Sri Lanka. With my savings I was able to do some temporarily fixes in my home roof which is in a terrrble situation now. In that time jurjendevries (npub1l77…swft) donated me a computer with his friend. We were trying to setup a bitcoin node with that hardware. But unfortunately my computer was broken because of the power outages had in that time in Sri Lanka. So my community missed that chance to setup the bitcoin node. After that in 2024 which is this year jurjendevries (npub1l77…swft) taught me about #nostr protocol and I was so interested about this amazing protocol too and studied about the basics of #nostr development because it is decentralized, censorship resistant and anyone can't control my data. Zapping option was also a amazing feature that I haven't seen before. Now I have a new computer and now we hope to run a lightning node for the community in Sri Lanka. I hope it will be a great opportunity to my community.
