I don't have a Studio with M2 Max.
But I do have a 14" MBP with M2 Max (I've spent far too much $$$ on Apple products in the last 18 months) and here is what I see for that machine. It tracks with what the M1 Max Studio is doing.
Based on this (not very scientific look at three machines -- all on Sonoma 14.1.1) it really does seem like something is different in the way M3 Max handles memory.
