Also an interesting approach to expanding an NES game to widescreen - the tiled backgrounds are drawn to the screen's maximum view distance, but the sprites & everything still operates in a 4:3 square in the middle of it. So I'm assuming this is still running original emulated code rather than being a reimplementation of some kind.
