“Pour out your heart to God; God is a refuge for us.” Psalm 62:8
This is an amazing verse. We need to share. If we don’t, we get trapped by bad ideas and pathologies. Sharing helps process life better, realize error, and think of better approaches.
But who to share with?
Sharing with yourself might be helpful, but a dead end at some point.
Sharing with a therapist might be helpful at points. But researcher Brene Brown compares it to prostitution, because of the lack of relational equity.
Sharing with trustworthy friends is amazing, but limited. Some things you can’t share.
God is the only one that we can share everything with.
He kindly provides divine wisdom and direction through the Bible, our circumstances, and the people around us.
