TIL that Wells Fargo only lets you transfer $500 to a newly added external account if that account is from $cashapp. The default is $5000 for a bank or credit union. Support told me they have a different lower limit due to "fraud" risk but give no message about why higher transfers failed on the web site.
Is this just a blatant attempt to supress a competitor with a new more dynamic business model?
