I'm currently sleeping on a hand-me-down full size mattress & box spring that was given to me by relatives 15 years ago. I have no complaints.
It did sit in the basement for 10 years before I started using it, but it was already pretty old when I got it.
I still have the queen size setup I paid real money for 20 years ago in another bedroom, unused.
