Wasn't real happy with my experience buying more chicks. I had to go all the way to West Tradport to find some Rhode Island reds, and I went to a place I normally don't shop. Their selection of baby chicks was a dismal failure. In one setup there were three dead chicks in various states of decay, along with two more who were on their way out. We found 3-4 setups where the chicks had run out of food, and worse, water. It was to the point that there wasn't even anything soggy left, it was completely dry. I finally found an employee and told her about it and she just said "Yes we're aware of it! It's very difficult to keep up with things!"

I was a little worried my 5 reds would be overstressed, since they came from a waterless setup, but they're doing fine this morning.
