npub15zu89j2k6sja8qgcs5qdu2pfra5kemhlgeern2cpcw2svkuvkudqu3s7lx (npub15zu…s7lx) Back in the '80s we were discussing doing a job with the Getty Museums (there are three of 'em) in LA to do a very high resolution, multi-layer, wide-color (e.g into the infrared and UV non-visible colors) imaging of their collections. We wanted to be able to collect things like paint depth, layers of paint, brushstrokes at the various levels, etc etc.

Unfortunately this was beyond the technology of the time, but I would have loved to done that kind of imaging of their collection.
