I buy these three-pound tubes of hamburger meat from time to time. Good price, and has the lean/fat ratio we like (4/1).
It always seems to me that I ought to be able to slice the tube so as to yield pre-shaped patties for burgers. But when I try to do that, the beef tends to just collapse into a mound.
Anyone got a tip for me?
