Incidentally, the aspirated wh- sound in older Scots was represented by quh-. Don't ask me why.

Just for fun, I suggest doing to https://dsl.ac.uk (The Dictionaries of the Scots Language) and typing quh into the search bar to see the Scots words that begin with those letters. That spelling has been preserved in some personal and place names,
