New, by me: The U.K. data watchdog said it will issue a £6 million provisional fine to the NHS vendor Advanced for security failings that led to a 2022 ransomware attack and widespread disruption to healthcare services across the U.K. for weeks.
ICO said that Advanced failed to use MFA, which ultimately led to the cybercriminals getting in and stealing more than 83,000 people's data in the breach.
