August 6 is the 45th anniversary of Bauhaus' spectacular "Bela Lugosi's Dead". The very first time I heard it was in 2010, when The Hunger came on after (the first time I saw) Purple Rain, at a friend's house. I had also never seen The Hunger, but my friend turned the movie off as soon as the Bauhaus bit was done. Would take me another 6ish years to see the rest of the movie, but Prince, Bauhaus, and Bowie are now always linked for me.
