My Interrail is valid today. But I activated it 2 mins after the train departed (but long before the ticket control)

The train manager then wanted to fine me 90 franks for this, because I’d not activated it before departure

Yes I know I’m meant to activate before departure, but it’s the first time anyone has ever cared
