1) I've noticed you repeatedly mention "extortion". Do you install a security system in your home to "extort" the burglar, or to protect yourselves from his predations?
2) Every position I've seen from pro-federation folks seems to focus on one minor technical point, while defocusing all the other issues. I will simply note again - it is not certain that Meta is scraping the fediverse, and it doesn't matter if they are. Admins have the power to take action and protect their instances and all the souls within from a known harm, regardless of whatever else is or is not happening in the world.
