Back before I 1) ditched Facebook and 2) got more careful about browser privacy, I ended up in a similarly weird situation where (owing to research I was doing for client work at that time), FB's ad robot was firmly convinced that I was a Black, right-leaning, gun-owning woman. Meanwhile, Youtube was serving me a lot of ads in Spanish and, occasionally, Chinese.
