agreed, but one of the problems with visual content is that you need good selection algos even more so than with text, i've noticed it back when i used to use 500px's "new feed" (which was just raw recent photos) - crappy visuals are more tiring to scroll past than crappy text
good selection algorithms in a truly decentralised protcol aren't cracked yet
