Well, on the plagiarism issue, this is pretty ticky-tacky stuff. Writing a dissertation, you are plunged into dealing with all sorts of advanced thinkers in your field and you are on the edge of your understanding. Summarizing, synthesizing, and paraphrasing them is tough. In the subsequent post-doc articles it seems like she was more careless than she should have been, but it is more insufficient attribution or insufficient paraphrase than plagiarism.
