I’ve been concerned about this since I think 1997 or 1998 when I got my first gmail account. There is so much “history” in the saved email. I realized 10 years ago there was too much for me to manually download what I cared about. Every week or two I reflect on how much I would lose if my account was frozen/locked/disappeared. Sigh. Guess it’s time to deal with it again. Somehow. At least Google+ had an external importer I could use and Flickr had a DVD you could export.
