I’ve been reading an article on how to produce the iron acetate, and there are a number of things that could have happened. I used 30% acetic acid, and kept adding steel wool until no more would dissolve, which will result in enough iron acetate in the solution that it will precipitate out. Then I stored it in a fridge which precipitated more. So I’m not sure what I really used, I guess.

But for now, I’ll just enjoy the happy accident.
