Keyboard nerd out time.
I'm still getting used to them, but I'm thoroughly enjoying the new keyboards so far. MX brown silent switches for the full keyboard. The small one has MX reds but I'm debating Ordering Brown switches for it. I don't like how hollow and clicky sounding the reds are And I don't feel like there's enough resistance when I type.
I've been drooling over pudding cap keys for years (seen in the full keyboard). And even though I'm not super crazy on full RGB keyboards, both have a bunch of features packed into the firmware of the keyboard, meaning I don't actually have to rely on external software, even though it exists. Both keyboards have both wired and Bluetooth connections, which is kind of nice. The full keyboard I highly doubt I'll ever use the Bluetooth, but it's nice to have the option. And circling back to all the firmware functions on the keyboard, there is a "function" layer on both keyboards. And even though it's kind of a pain in the ass to program without external software, you can do it.
both of these keyboards seem pretty robust. They are kind of weighty and feel well built, so I'm excited to use these over the coming years and see if they hold up to the abuse that my G710 took.
