Whenever I read about things referred to as "landmark" I cannot help but think of Percy Shelly's "Ozymandias".
Generally if you were to reflect on these "landmarks" in a few years (mere months sometimes) you'd find little but dust and ruins.
(But you're unlikely to be reflecting on them as they're gone and forgotten. No more a landmark than a molehill.)
