And the media often focus on the handful of arrests at overwhelmingly peaceful demonstrations. One video I saw on Metro was a load of police huddled together like there was trouble while the protestors chanted 'Shame on you'. I think they'd just arrested a women on a flimsy charge.
The police presence is there to make peaceful protestors look dangerous. No other reason.
