- there are no good video editors for linux (shotcut and kdenlive are garbage)
- there are no good image editors for linux (gimp is garbage)
- there are no good fedi clients for linux (tokodon is garbage)
- macos handles keyboard shortcuts significantly better
- parsec on linux doesn’t support hosting
- discord on linux doesn’t support audio screensharing
- on linux, trackpads are frustrating to use (palm rejection is not good enough, gestures are still not great, and the acceleration curve is not natural to me)
for some things, linux is better, but not all the time. i use what works for me, depending on the task, and i don’t lock myself into one thing and shill it for eternity
