A revelation courtesy of SatDump author Aang: move your SDR and long, noisy USB cables away from your L-band feed and replace them with a longer coax instead! I've improved my satellite setup up to a max of 18.7 dB SNR now on NOAA 19 and Meteor M2-3. I also have consistent Metop captures for the first time ever. Now I need to look at replacing the RG58 with lower loss stuff, like some LMR variant.
