But there are algos. The recommended accounts, popular feeds, most zapped feed etc. are determined by simple algos heavily weighted towards already popular accounts.
And once people follow these and see mainly the same 50 accounts in all the default feeds, who are primarily talking about Bitcoin and Nostr, I can see why the experience becomes underwhelming.
I think something like open-source, opt-in algos (feeds) that people can customize might be a good way to go, instead of saying "We don't need algos" and pretending that everything happening here is "organic" (when it's not).
