My next-door neighbor is having a perfectly healthy white pine chopped down today and I'm grieving. I love that tree! It's what I gazed upon meditatively from my kitchen window (and talked to, if I'm being honest), and home (or at least a frequent stop) for lots of squirrels and birds. My landlord says the neighbor is tired of the "mess."
