I briefly tried FF VII after X but was turned off by its dated graphics so did not even consider VI and the older ones. I want to play the VII remaster trilogy though once it is finished.
I played X-2 (half of it), the Lightning trilogy (finished two games, currently playing the third) and a bit of XVI (will buy and finish later). X is still my favorite but the Lightning trilogy (XIII) has a good story.
