According to Plutarch, there was a statue of Isis in Sais, Egypt, which was inscribed with :
"I am all that has been and is and shall be; and no one has ever lifted my veil and lived."
Egyptian statue. Maybe its Isis ; maybe not.
Exodus 33:20
But He said, “You cannot see My face, for no man can see Me and live!”
Maybe its related ; maybe not.
Here's tarot trump # 2, the high priestess. It has the two pillars, same as the temple, a woman with overflowing robes, and a veil. The pomegranates on the veil represent fecundity, which is more than the biological fecund and is more like Grace, and *might* be the fruit of the tree of knowledge.
Maybe it's related ; maybe not.
In Wagner's "Parsifal", a dramatic musical reenactment of the story of king Arthur, the king Amfortas forgot that he and the land are one, and thus brought a curse upon his land. The land is symbolic of the material nature of reality ; "he" and his kingship are symbolic of the spiritual nature of reality - the two are one because "oneness" is the essence of being. In fact, the material is the spiritual, but that's only apparent when you see Grace. The land can be equated with the priestess's flowing robes in the tarot card above.
Maybe its related ; oh f it, its related.
