Jay Graber, CEO of Bluesky, is being interviewed rather competently and indepth on the technical aspects and general course of development of that platform. Somewhere around the 40 minute mark the big question is asked on how to prevent enshittification (my words) and interestingly Graber dances around the issue.
She states that should they want to close down the platform, people can just run with the code and setup their own servers. This is a classic deflection.
The real issue of course is that their flagship (and so far only?) instance has all the users. Should they close that down, good luck on setting up your own server and communicate with... no one.
Interesting interview none the less.
