A Brown Creeper at Lido last Sunday. Migrating and not in its favored old-growth woodland. These well-camouflaged little cousins of insectivores spiral up and down the boles of large trees, especially evergreens, searching for insects under the bark. The Brown Creepers are the only "tree creepers" found in the Americas. The group is most closely related to the nuthatches, wrens, and gnatcatchers.
